Une très jolie monnaie

Festival of Isis Faria. 4th century A.D. AE 3 (18.63 mm, 2.50 g, 12 h). DEO SA-RAPIDI, draped bust of Serapis right / VOTA - PV-[B]-L-IC-A, Isis, with sistrum and sceptre, riding facing on the Sothis-dog running right and looking backwards. Alföldi 153. aVF, pierced . Very Rare. Ex NAC; Ex Sternberg sale XXXIII, 1997,386. According to the NAC sale it says "...possibly an 19th century cast". However, based on close examination and consulting various experts in the series we feel that it is in fact a genuine example of this very rare type
